Overview
The role of the Buyer is to manage purchasing and inventory for assigned production lines. The Buyer will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless flow of required inventory essential to our operations. Your meticulous attention to detail and strategic approach to procurement will contribute to the efficiency and success of our organization.
Responsibilities
- Supply Procurement: Utilize forecasting and planning tools to strategically purchase and maintain stock levels for assigned product lines.
- Purchase Order Management: Create accurate purchase orders in GP (Great Plains) and Sales Pad to facilitate efficient procurement processes.
- Inventory Oversight: Regularly audit and assess inventory levels, variances, and pricing in GP and Sales Pad to ensure data accuracy. Coordinate and execute cycle counting to maintain precise records.
- Vendor Relationship: Manage and nurture vendor relationships, focusing on pricing negotiations, lead time optimization, and clear communication channels.
- Sourcing Excellence: Identify new vendors through online and industry resources, seeking opportunities for enhanced pricing, quality, and service.
- Claim Management: Facilitate the processing of claims, making necessary adjustments in GP/Sales Pad, and maintaining effective communication with vendors to ensure timely resolutions.
- Invoicing and Payment: Process purchasing invoices, meticulously matching packing slips. Collaborate with the Inventory Lead to submit complete and accurate documentation to accounting for timely payments.
- Quote Processing: Collaborate with Customer Service Representatives to process quotes, providing accurate part numbers and lead times. Place orders for confirmed quotes efficiently.

Qualifications
- 4 years Supply Procurement, Purchase Order Management. Inventory Oversight experience
- Associates degree in business or related field is preferred
- Knowledge of Vendor Relationship, Claim Management, Quote Management
- Attention to detail and written communication skills
- Accuracy and use of math skills
- Microsoft Office 365 experience
