At Quantum Recruiters we focus intently on providing talent to leading employers throughout the Pacific Northwest. We are proud to partner with a family owned, 2nd generation leader in the mining services industry to fill the Chief Financial Officer role.
This is a key executive position that is responsible for overseeing the financial strategy and operations of our second-generation family-owned mining services company based out of Springfield, OR. The position is responsible for leading the accounting team and working closely with members of the executive team to drive the financial success of the organization.
The successful candidate for this position must possess strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage teams and collaborate with other executives to drive the organization’s overall success. This includes the ability to motivate and inspire team members, as well as foster a culture of collaboration and innovation. This position must be able to work in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment, with the ability to make quick decisions and adapt to changing market conditions. This requires strong critical thinking skills and the ability to analyze complex financial data to make informed decisions that support the organization’s strategy. Overall, this position must be a strong leader who can navigate complex financial landscapes and drive the success of the organization in a rapidly changing environment.
Job Requirements/Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or related field required. MBA or CPA preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in accounting with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Construction and/or job cost accounting experience is preferred.
- Experience in strategic planning, financial analysis, and financial reporting.

Job Responsibilities
- Develops and implements financial strategies that support the overall business objectives of the organization.
- Manages the accounting team and oversees all accounting operations, including cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll.
- Provides financial analysis and insight to the executive team to support decision-making.
- Develops and maintains relationships with banks, investors, and other financial stakeholders.
- Ensures compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements.
- Monitors financial performance and identify areas for improvement or cost savings.
- Manages the organization's cash flow and ensures adequate funding is available to support business operations.
- Develops and implements internal controls to safeguard the organization's assets.
- Participates in strategic planning and provides financial guidance to support growth and expansion initiatives.
- Serves as a key member of the executive team and provides financial leadership to the organization.
