We are seeking an experienced and people-focused HR Manager to lead and manage all core human resources functions for a growing, statewide organization of just under 300 employees. This role is hands-on and broad in scope, supporting leaders and employees across the full employee lifecycle while ensuring compliance, consistency, and a positive workplace culture.
You’ll partner closely with leadership and managers, providing guidance, structure, and practical HR solutions.
Oversee all HR functions including employee relations, onboarding, performance management, and offboarding
Manage safety programs, workers’ compensation, and risk management initiatives
Administer benefits programs and act as the primary point of contact for employee benefits questions
Manage and maintain the HRIS (Paylocity), ensuring data accuracy and system optimization
Lead recruitment efforts including interviewing, hiring, and workforce planning
Provide coaching and guidance to managers on HR best practices and employee issues
Ensure compliance with state and federal employment laws and company policies
Support and promote a positive, inclusive, and compliant workplace culture
5+ years of progressive HR experience preferred (minimum of 2+ years considered)
Experience supporting a multi-location or statewide workforce strongly preferred
Hands-on experience with Paylocity or similar HRIS platforms
Solid knowledge of employment law, benefits, safety, and workers’ compensation
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to be kind, approachable, and firm when needed
Confident communicator able to work effectively with employees at all levels
