POSITION PURPOSE
Officiate at adult league soccer events. Detect infractions of rules and apply appropriate penalties according to established regulations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
• Officiate soccer matches to maintain standards of play and ensure all game rules are observed.
• Judge play to award goals, impose penalties, or determine results.
•Report scores, cards, issues to management within 24 hours of officiated game
ASSOCIATED DUTIES
• Signal the start and end of halves, stoppage time, and any overtime as required.
• Track elapsed time, stopping and restarting play appropriately.
• Resolve complaints or claims of infractions and determine appropriate action.
• Verify scores as needed.
• Direct participants to assigned fields or proper locations.
• Report scores, complaints, disciplinary actions, and other relevant information to the Athletics Recreation Supervisor.
• Teach and explain established rules and regulations governing adult league soccer.
• Verify eligibility of players and ensure equipment meets league requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS – KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
• Previous officiating experience preferred.
• Demonstrated understanding of adult league soccer rules and regulations.
• At least 2 years of active soccer league participation preferred.
• Ability to resolve conflict in a professional, polite, and equitable manner.
• Demonstrated record of reliable attendance.
