We are currently seeking a full time, direct hire Staff Accountant to join our client’s team in Eugene, Oregon. Position Summary: As a Staff Accountant, you will have a wide range of responsibilities exercising discretion and independent judgement in matters of significance including but not limited to: performing month end close, reconciliation of accounts, preparing financial statements and other duties as needed to support the Finance and Accounting Department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Complete a wide range of month-end close related responsibilities
- Support the monthly close process by preparing assigned entries, reconciling assigned accounts and preparing support schedules and analysis
- Regularly maintain detailed reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations
- Prepare documentation for annual audit performed by external accounting firm
- Assist with fixed asset processing and reporting
- Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data
- Support implementation of best practices and improve department documentation
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and company procedures
- Partner with other departments to ensure all transactions are getting to the ledger timely and accurately
- Perform ad-hoc research and projects as needed
- Perform other duties as required to support the Accounting Department
Required Education & Experience
- Minimum Experience: 2+ years previous Accounting or Finance preferred
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
Minimum Qualifications & Core Competencies
- Demonstrated ERP system competency.
- Intermediate Excel spreadsheet skills.
- Experience with NetSuite ERP a plus.
- Must have strong communication skills and be highly deadline and detail oriented.
- Adept at handling multiple projects and deliverables simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
