Warehouse Manager

At Quantum Recruiters we focus intently on providing talent to leading employers throughout the Pacific Northwest.  We are currently recruiting to fill a part-time, 30 hours per week Warehouse Manager to oversee international operations, shipping, and distribution for an innovative EV company. As the Warehouse Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of goods across our national network, maintaining high standards of quality control, and optimizing operational processes within the warehouse.

Job Duties

Shipping and Distribution

• Oversee the shipping and distribution activities, including order picking, packing, and shipping of products to customers, dealers, and distributors across the country.
• Collaborate with logistics providers to optimize transportation routes, reduce costs, and improve delivery timelines.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices related to shipping and distribution operations.
• Implement inventory management systems to maintain accurate stock levels and minimize discrepancies and facilitate efficient order fulfilment.

Warehouse Management

• Lead and supervise a team of warehouse staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
• Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for efficient warehouse operations, including inventory management, order processing, and returns handling.
• Maintain a safe and organized working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations and promoting a culture of workplace safety.
• Continuously identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and cost reduction within the warehouse.
• Facilitate monthly inventory cycle counts.

Quality Control and Process Optimization

• Implement and enforce strict quality control measures to ensure products meet the highest standards of excellence.
• Continuously evaluate operational processes, identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies, and implement process improvements and automation strategies to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
• Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and trends related to shipping, distribution, and warehouse management, and apply this knowledge to drive continuous improvement.

Team Leadership and Development

• Lead, motivate, and develop a team of operations, shipping, and distribution professionals.
• Provide guidance, training, and support to team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and high performance.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations, set goals, and provide constructive feedback to enhance individual and team performance.
• Foster a safe and inclusive work environment that prioritizes employee well-being and promotes adherence to health and safety regulations.

Collaboration and Communication

• Collaborate with various internal departments, including production, sales, and customer service, to ensure smooth coordination and communication across the supply chain.
• Foster strong relationships with external stakeholders, such as logistics partners, suppliers, and service providers.
• Act as a point of contact for escalated issues, problem-solving, and ensuring timely resolution of warehouse-related challenges.
• Prepare regular reports, presentations, and updates on operational performance for senior management.
